An interactive art project by Dominik Stauch and Paul Le Grand
Location: railway station square
Six flags line a central square in a city at the foot of the Alps. The colors of these flags are inspired by the 19th-century tradition of veduta, miniature, and panoramic painting, which made the Bernese Oberland famous throughout the world. The colors therefore have names such as “summer night,” “glacier green,” “dawn red,” “alpine rose,” “shadow ground,” “moss bed,” and so on.
On the MySouvenir.ch website, users can select their own color combinations. The monthly evaluation of all entries determines the flag combination that will be flown for a season.
